About this activity
Make your way to the Soleri Bridge to begin your leisurely and informative tour of Old Town Scottsdale. Get acquainted with your chariot for the day, the Segway, which is easy to learn to use, and check out the bridge, which features 64-foot-high steel pylons that give off a captivating light. The bridge was designed by Italian architect Paolo Soleri and is meant to demonstrate the importance of solar features.

Cruise along the lively waterfront area, known for its public art installations, then dip deeper into the Arts District, checking out sculptures, galleries and contemporary Native American art. From there, whiz by the historic Little Red Schoolhouse, build in 1909.

Then it’s on to the very first US Post Office building, which now operates as Porter’s Western Store. Glide past other historic buildings including the Farmer’s State Bank, now the Rusty Spur Saloon, and the Roald Amundsen Pullman Private Railroad Car, built in 1928.

Pass by other highlights of Old Town, such as McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park, and loads of galleries, modern arts plazas, the Civic Center Mall, and shopping districts before your tour concludes back at the Scottsdale waterfront.

Please note: Wear comfortable shoes and clothes and bring sunglasses. All Segways have a front handlebar bag for any personal belongings.

We loved the Segway tour of Scottsdale. We were novice Segway riders and arrived at our departure location a bit anxious. The guides did a great job with a safety video, safety equipment and practice in the parking lot. By the time we hit the road riding seemed intuitive and very safe. We covered a lot of Old Scottsdale and enjoyed the narration delivered on our personal earphones. I'd recommend the tour to anyone looking for a new and fun way to explore a vacation destination.

we both really enjoyed our tour. Your feet may get a little sore but it was well worth it. I am over 60 and our guide said I was a natural. We will do this again if we ever get a chance.

A great way to see Old Town Scottsdale, especially in the heat! We did this tour in the evening, when the temps were a bit lower. Cameron was a great tour guide ... very knowledgeable and energetic. We all learned a lot about Scottsdale thanks to Cameron! The only downside was that it became dark very early, so it was difficult to see some of the sites. We would highly recommend this tour, and you shouldn't be worried if you've never been on a segway before. There were just enough instructions, and you get an opportunity to practice a bit before heading out. In no time at all, we were all pros! Thanks Cameron for a great evening ... and for showing us Scottsdale's best artwork, The Doors and the LOVE sculpture. We LOVE Old Town Scottsdale! The Ward Family from Hamilton, ON Canada

Best travel tip we ever got- Do a Segway Tour. So much fun! Our tour guide Chris was so chill and calm that all us 1st timers had no reason to be worried. Highlights of shops, restaurants, area history and sights! So worth it- definitely will do again!

A wonderful experience! The Segway was fun and very easy to master. It only took about 5 minutes or so of practice to get the hang of it. Our guide was especially attentive to the safety aspects of the equipment and our tour. Sadly, I did not get the full advantage of the tour due to the lack of available headphones for the participants. It was near impossible to hear the guide's commentary.Though I must say that he did the best that he could given the circumstances. I was appreciative of his taking the time to take a photo of me. Viewing Old Scottsdale on a Segway is definitely the way to go. I've recommended the tour to my friends and even long time residents of Phoenix that I know. ps. I enjoyed the Segway so much that I am considering buying one.
