• Tartini Square, which is dedicated to the most famous citizen of Piran, Giuseppe Tartini On this - for Piran's measurements - vast square the guide will tell you about Tartini and his birth house and will show you municipal palace, Venetian and the church of St. Peter.

One of the greatest treasures of Piran can be found behind the altar. The guide will tell you more about the Piran crucifix which dates back to the 14th century (usually you can see the interior of the church only through a fence. To enter the church you have to pay admission in Parish Museum of St George). On a clear day you can enjoy the great view of the church terrace and see all the way from the Gulf of Trieste in the front, to the Julian Alps and even the Dolomites.
• Punta or Cape Madonna. The guide will walk you to the Church of Our Lady of health, where you can see a preserved part of the town walls and a lighthouse in a neo-gothic style. Near this spot in the sea there is the deepest point of the Slovenian sea. On Punta you can enjoy in the view over both – the Gulf of Trieste and Croatian Savudria.
• The 1st May Square which was once the main square of Piran. On the square you can find a large stone cistern, which was once used to collect rainwater from houses around the square.
• Mandrač or the town harbour with barks, sailboats and fishing boats.

The standard tour usually lasts around 90 minutes, if desired, it may be shortened or extended. It is moderately difficult, so if you are a group with guests, who has walking difficulties, the tour can be modified in the way, that the fist, easier part is made at first, and the more difficult part with the walk uphill to the Church of St. George is made at last.

The described tour is just a proposal, which can be adapted to your needs and interests.
