About this activity

This walking tour will introduce you to the real City of Pisa – right up to and beyond the iconic Leaning Tower.
The itineary is absolutely easy going, wheelchair accessible and the walking is always at a leisurely pace.

Meet your guide at the Keith Haring's mural at 5.30pm.
The guide will be easily recognizable by the sign with the logo of Pisa Walking Tours. The meeting place is very conveniently located in the city center area. If you drive a car, you have an underground car parking available right in the nearby Piazza Vittorio Emanuele plus the availability of blue line toll parking in the streets nearby. If you arrive by train at Pisa Centrale, you'll get to the meeting place with a two minutes walk.

The tour ends up at 7.30pm at the Square of Miracles and Leaning Tower with an all external visit.
The tour with Leaning Tower climbing option has entrance to the Cathedral included and Tower climbing scheduled at around 7:30pm.

From the meeting point you will start to familiaraze with the city by walking along the busy Corso Italia and the quarters of S. Antonio and S. Martino, all the way to the Arno riverbanks in the very heart of Pisa. You will have the chance of entering some of the local interiors, both private and public, to feel the atmosphere of the local old palaces once home of Pisan noble families.

Crossed the river you will enjoy a local genuine gelato (vegan option available) and stroll along Borgo Stretto, S.Francesco and S. Maria. the very Medieval heart of the city, all the way to Piazza dei Cavalieri with its late Renaissance style palaces.

Following step will be a stop for an italian aperitif cocktail with appetizers at a rooftop terrace to enjoy an extraordinary view over the monumental complex of the Cathedral and Leaning Tower, the Carrara marble quarries and Pisan Mountains in the distance.

- Children under 8 years of age are not allowed to climb
- The Leaning Tower is not wheelchair accessible
- Bags, backbags, camera containers and non trasparent water bottles need to be left at the locker room
