About this activity
Begin with morning pickup from your Pisa hotel and head out by air-conditioned minivan for the 1.15-hour journey to San Gimignano, a UNESCO World Heritage site nicknamed ‘Medieval Manhattan’ after the 14 imposing stone towers that line the town’s defense walls. Wander the cobblestone streets and admire some of the finest ancient architecture in Tuscany.

Hop back, you will go in deirection to the UNESCO World Heritage–listed city of Siena. Travel through the open Tuscan countryside, over rolling hills and past traditional vineyards, and take in glorious views from the comfort of your minivan.

Seemingly frozen in time, Siena is famous for its wonderful cuisine and artistic heritage. Wander the city at your leisure. Marvel at the imposing majesty of 13th-century Siena Cathedral; its façade is widely considered one of the finest in all of Italy. See the Battistero di San Giovanni (St Giovanni Baptistery) and famous Piazza del Campo, around which the entire city is built. One of the most impressive medieval squares in Europe, Piazza del Campo has buzzed with the comings and goings of Siena’s residents for centuries.

End the day with a relaxing wine-tasting session at a wine cellar near San Gimignano. Chat with your fellow travelers and learn about Tuscany's wine history and heritage from your sommelier as you sip two glasses of Chianti wine. At the end of your wine tasting, travel back to your Pisa hotel.

Stay at each city was too short and no guidance other than getting dropped off with a map. The drive was non eventful and too many people in the van. Wine tasting was the best part.

Aviator Bellaitaliatours was a last minute decision and we were pleasantly surprised. They are professional, efficient, knowledgeable and their guides wonderful. San-Gimignano in the morning. Siena in the afternoon. Both old towns on hill within medieval walls and picturesque. Then wine tour in renovated farm house where the wine and olive oils are produced from their own land organically. Memorable day. Spectacular scenery. Thank you Luca our guide for a wonderful experience.

Fantastic trip and it is from the best tours I did in my life. I traveled so much abroad in tours and until now I didn't find tour guide better than Lucca, he explained everything to us and he was nice, very friendly and he made our trip so perfect. we want to the beautiful San Gimignano and Sienna and it was such a good places to visit. Wine tasting was awesome too with bread and above it the verging olive oil and sheep cheese. Everything was on time, so it is very good trip and I recommend it to everyone.

A fabulous trip and our driver Michele Michael was excellent, very helpful and informative. Both places are different but well worth a visit and the location where we had the wine tasting was stunning!
