Beginners Mountain Biking Mayan Jungle Tour and Cenote Swimming
The tour starts at the meeting point at the entrance of Rio Secreto on Highway Chetumal-Puerto Juarez in front of the police checkpoint. Once you are with your group, the team will give a safety briefing and an explanation of the area, how to properly use the equipment and some tips to make your journey fun and enjoyable. You'll also learn the bike language signs that you will be using to communicate with your guide along the way.
The journey begins when you arrive to the path that will take you into the jungle. You will encounter some technical roads with stones, small climb and fun downhills through the Mayan jungle. During the tour, you will make the necessary stops to re-hydrate, see how everyone is doing and/or make adjustments to the bikes. This is always making sure the group is staying together and everyone is having a great time!
During the journey you would like to have all your senses really open, as you will experience the flora and fauna of the Mayan Jungle. You will be moving through the Nature Reserve of Playa del Carmen which is home to coatis, deer, turtles and a big diversity of birds; such as, parrots, toucans, seagulls, to name a few.
Half way through the journey, you will stop by a Cenote (fresh water sinkhole) to have a swim, cool off and take some photos. Then, you'll bike back to the meeting point where the tour ends.
