Chichen Itza by Night and Day: Archaeologist-Led Tour, Lunch and Light and Sound Show from Playa del Carmen

Learn about the city during its glory days, from around 600 to 1200 AD, and how it served as a pilgrimage site until the arrival of the Spanish. 



Following your tour, you have free time to explore on your own and then your guide leads you to your seats for the Light and Sound Show. Dressed with dramatic lighting and set to haunting music, the show transforms 1,500-year-old temples into ever-changing canvases with 3D images of ancient Mayans moving across the structures.




Witness warriors play deadly games in the ball court, and the famous snake-shadow wriggle from the pyramid apex to the ground, an uncommon occurrence visible only during a spring or autumn equinox with clear skies.
