Chichen Itza Day Trip by Plane from Playa del Carmen: Private

Your tour begins early in the morning with hotel pickup in Playa del Carmen. Board a vehicle and head to the Cancun airport for your flight. After passing through security in the private plane terminal, you will board the aircraft and take off to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Chichen Itza. The flight is 30 to 40 minutes long and you'll first enjoy an overflight of the ruins and the breathtaking Mayan jungle before you land.
After landing, you'll be taken to the site's entrance where you'll meet your professional archaeologist guide and begin a wonderful 3-hour guided tour for your small-group of maximum 10 people. See important landmarks and learn about the role that this well-preserved site played in Mayan civilization between 600 and 1200 AD. Listen to your guide's explanation of the importance of the site as a center of worship for the Maya community and a place for pilgrimages.
Visit the Temple of Kukulkan, the Temple of the Jaguars, the Temple of the Warriors and the Observatory as your guide shares the meaning of the mythology and cosmology present in the stone carvings, platforms and pyramids. After your tour, you'll head back to the plane to go back to Cancun. You will be back in your hotel between 3pm and 4pm so you can enjoy the rest of the afternoon.
