Complete Cave Diver

The complete Cave Diver Program includes the three sub-courses required to be Full Cave Certified. During the 8-9 day program, you will meet all of the requirements for Cavern Diver, Intro to Cave Diver, and Full Cave Diver. Cavern Diver is the first step into our spectacular world of underwater caves and it will prepare you for diving in some overhead environments. During this portion of the training, you will always stay within the natural light zone and we will never be more than 200ft/60m from open water to maximize your safety. Some of the main focuses of this section are buoyancy control, team diving, environmental conservation, and emergency procedures. Once you have mastered the skills necessary to become a Cavern Diver, it is time to leave day light behind and head into the cave. Building directly upon what you learned in the Cavern Diver course, the Intro to Cave course focuses on basic principles of cave diving. During the training, you will learn about cave conservation, cave penetration techniques, team formation, problem management, and zero visibility exits. During this portion of the program, you will continue perfecting what you learned in the Cavern course, while adding new cave diving skills into the mix through a mixture of theory, land drills, and in-water training. We will perform at least 4 cave dives for a total bottom time of at least 120 minutes but it is likely we will spend about double that amount of time underwater. Once you have completed the Cavern Diver and Intro to Cave Diver portions, you are ready for the final phase of your initial cave diver training. During the Full Cave portion of the course you will be tasked with advanced cave dive planning and execution. You will venture off the mainline and learn complex navigation techniques and how to always maintain a continuous guideline to your exit. You will also learn to safely navigate restrictions while penetrating much deeper into the cave systems than you have before.
