1 day
About this activity
After picking you up from your hotel we willl start the day in Tulum. It is a majestic city ruled by Halach Uinicoob, where the palaces still show their wealth in paintings and decoration and there are excellent lines of zac beoob (white paths) that allow us to see the infrastructure of a city from the 10th century, an icon of greatness and beauty due to the incredible contrast between culture and nature. The turquoise waters of the Caribbean and the majestic temples and walls turn this seafront city into something unique in the world. Discover Tulum with us. After visiting Tulum, we will drive for 45 minutes to Coba, considered one of the most important cities in the period of glory of the Mayan civilization. With about 50,000 inhabitants at its peak and a total area of 80 km2, there are many iconographic power monuments in its representations and internal and external zac beoobs (white paths) that connect buildings and cities among themselves. The longest path runs 100 kilometers and reaches Yaxuna, another Mayan city. Climbing the 42 meter high pyramid is a truly unique experience. It's Mayan past and presents turn this place into a living treasure. The two-kilometer tour to the main pyramid can be done by tricycle (a taxi for two with a driver included) or by bicycle on flat paths, to turn this experience into something memorable. We will have lunch at a restaurant in front of the Coba Lagoon. You will be able to taste the regional dishes and try real handmade corn tortillas. The current population of the Coba municipality is of Mayan descent, and the language still prevails. After lunch, we drive to Cenote Cho-Ha. This is one of the closed cenotes. Through a spiral staircase, we will enter the cenote. A cave full of countless stalactites and crystalline waters awaits us for a relaxing bath before lunch. In this kind of cenotes, the water is usually 20-21 degrees Celsius. We will finish the tour in Playa Paraso, Tulum. In a perfect combination of culture and nature, your holiday package cannot lack the perks and the joy of the crystalline waters of the Mexican Caribbean, with its white thin sand, which is very pleasant to the touch of the soles of your feet. Get to know one of the most privileged public beaches on the coast of Tulum, where the 120 km of the Mayan Riviera end and the biosphere reserve of Sian Kaan starts.
