Stop At: Bijagua de Upala, Bijagua de Upala, Province of Alajuela

We will be visiting 2 different locations in the rainforests around the Tenorio Volcano:

First we will do a hike within a private rainforest preserve bordering the National Park and learn about this ecosystem during a 1.5-2hr walk through the forest along trails and three hanging bridges that will take us through the treetops!

After the first hike we will have lunch and then visit a reforestation reserve where it is quite easy to find sloths and many other of the rainforest inhabitants due to the lower heights of this still fairly young growth. This is also a great nature walk to learn even more about our rainforests, conservation and many other interesting facts along the way.

Really a great way to experience the rainforest!
