Half Day Snorkel & Sunset Sailing

Stop At: Kuna Vela Sailing Tours, 151, Provincia de Guanacaste, Coco We pick you up in front of Claudio and Gloria's Restaurant on Coco Beach, Playas del Coco 50503 Costa Rica

You will board by our new semi-rigid dinghy at the beach to board Kuna. You will then board Kuna! It's a 47' monohull sailboat. (this is not a catamaran). There is a bathroom below deck with running water on board.

Ice Cold drinks are served rum punch, 3 choices of beer, soft-drinks in a can, bottled iced tea, bottled water)

Depending on the wind conditions, we'll sail or motor to a calm cove for snorkeling.

You will snorkel near a reef accompanied by our snorkel guide. If time and location permits, you'll explore the beach. (If someone in your party does not want to snorkel, we can take them directly to the beach).

The snorkel guide will take underwater photos. Photos will be sent within 24 hours for free. We also take photos on deck.

After snorkeling, fruit plate will be served, followed by snacks (tortilla chips with guacamole and bean dip, tuna and paté both on whole wheat bread)

We serve the food approximately 2 hrs and 15 minutes after boarding our sailboat. It is suggested that you eat a meal prior to arriving at our meeting point.

We'll sail the bay returning back to the beach while watching the sunset.

Duration: approximately 3.5 to 4 hrs depending on local sunset time.

Notes:

Requirements:

You and everyone in your party need to be able to step up a 18 inches unassisted. Bring your own towels to dry off after snorkeling.

You need to know how to swim if you want snorkel. While we have life vests and noodle floats for all our guests to use, for your safety and the safety of all of our guests, you need at least beginner level swimming ability.

Prohibited:

Use of spray-on sunscreen on the boat (run-off makes the deck a slip hazard). The good old fashioned rub on lotion is required OR put the sunscreen on before boarding the boat.

Jumping/diving off the deck without the captain's permission and supervision

Smoking onboard is not allowed.
