The largest and oldest national park in Croatia, Plitvice is an oasis of vibrant lakes, gushing waterfalls and lush forest. If you don't have the time to spend a few nights up by Plitvice Lakes, and have no other option - that this is a good way to pack in this day trip. It's a long trip about 5 hours each way, and you'll spend about 4 hours hiking through the lakes totally worth it!. Our driver was nice, and efficient - and a bit speedy even got a speeding ticket on the way there. It's basically a driving service, he's not a tour guide, did not come into the park with us, nor had been there before!
