Stop At: Plovdiv Old Town, Plovdiv 4000 Bulgaria
Our tour starts at 9am with a pick up from your hotel. After approximately 2 hours journey we will reach the Old Town of Plovdiv and start exploring the secrets of the European Capital of Culture for 2019.
In the next two hours we will speak about the deep history of this magical place. We will learn about the life of the ancient citizens of Pulpudeva and Ulpia Trimontium, about the glory of the place during the Roman period and many more. We will visit the Ethnographic museum (entrance fee included) and make a quick jump to 18th and 19th centuries. Here stories about the Ottoman times will be heard and we will see how the inhabitants of Plovdiv where the first among the Bulgarians to introduce the Western European influence in our lands.
After hour and a half exploring the Old town we will reach the Ancient theater (entrance included) and the Roman stadium, just next to the main pedestrian street.
From the main pedestrian street you free time will start. You can use it for some lunch brake and of course to visit the Kapana district, where you can buy some authentic souvenirs. At 4pm our guide will wait you just in front of Ramada hotel at the end of the pedestrian street, from where we will depart back to Sofia.
