Our Day tour to Plovdiv and Villa Yustina starts at 8.30am from your hotel in Sofia. After a nice hour and a half journey on a highway we will reach Bulgaria’s oldest and probably most beautiful town. At 10.00am we will be entangled in the history of the city, as we enter the lovely old quarter. Here, in the next two hours we will explore in deep details the fascinating lives of the rich families that once have made Plovdiv one of the most important towns in the Ottoman empire. We will visit their magnificent houses, which combine within themselves wonderful details of the Orient with truly modern Western European decorations and furniture. Here we will understand why Plovdiv was considered as one of the most important intersection between Asia and Europe, while the architecture of the place will speak to us about the glory of the city, just like turning a page after page of a breathtaking novel. Of course we won’t forget to visit the Ancient ruins of Plovdiv theater and the Roman stadium, as here every detail is important in revealing of the great story.
At half past noon we will stop on the main pedestrian street. From here your free time starts for some souvenirs shopping and a lunch break.

A book story without a glass of a good wine is not a good book story. For that reason at 2.30pm we will depart to the village of Ustina. Here we will reveal another secret of Plovdiv region – its outstanding wine. Wine traditions in Thrace valley date back in the time of the Thracian tribes. Just a glass of the splendid mavrud sort will take you back to the Antiquity, in a time of a great warriors and horsemen, who once ruled the Balkans.
In the end of our novel we will discuss how remarkable is the city of Plovdiv and its wine on our way back journey towards the city of Sofia. The tour ends at your hotel at approximately 6.30pm.
