Private Half-Day Tour of Bulgarian Wine Country

Your private day out in Bulgarian wine country begins with a 10am pickup at your Plovdiv accommodation. You’ll be ferried via comfortable, private vehicle out of the city and into the beautiful, neighboring wine region.

After a short transfer, your first stop is a charming local winery. Embark on a guided tour of the winery facilities and learn all about the winemaking process, from grape to bottle. The tour is followed by a tasting of five of the winery’s top-quality varietals, accompanied by delectable, locally sourced appetizers. As you taste, your guide will tell you stories about the region’s winemaking history.

At the end of your tasting, venture next to a nearby traditional restaurant, where you can indulge in a three-course Bulgarian lunch. Once lunch is complete, you also have the option of visiting a cultural heritage attraction in the vicinity (a complimentary add-on to the itinerary), including the ruins of an ancient Thracian sanctuary, a monastery, or historic ruined churches.

This half-day, 4-hour tour concludes when you are driven directly back to your Plovdiv accommodation.
