Skadar Lake region is well known for its beautiful parts of nature, as well as numerous historical, religious, and ethnological objects that can be discovered on its shores or hidden islands.
Žabljak Crnojevića is a medieval town and fortress located at the mouth of the Morača River in Skadar Lake. It was built in the 11th century and had a really turbulent history. Very important strategic position in the past gave a view from the top on all National Park Skadar lake.
Old fortress with rich history is longing for curious visitors to explore this medieval treasure and to enjoy in stunning view from top of the fortress.

The tour is planed to be done by bycicle. After short car drive around 20 min from Podgorica we will start our cycling. We are exploring small villages near Moraca river. You will get impression how life is going in the countryside, because this part is very quiet and tourist-free. After 9 km of cycling we will reach Zabljak Crnojevica and after short 15 minutes walk we will be in a ruins of this unique place. View from the top and from the old bastion are truly amazing.
After historical presentation, we can cycling to the next village Dodosi and in the restaurant which is made from float boat on the river we can enjoy in local specialties.
