Mahendra Cave is one of the enormous limestone caves containing stalagmites and stalactites. It is 1100 meters above sea level. The cave is completely dark with water dripping continuously. However, artificial lighting is provided for you to see in the dark. The cave has 100 meters of available passages and a further 100 meters of low unstable corridors. You can also find a statue of Lord Shiva in the cave, making it a religious venture too. This cave has been named from former King, Mahindra Bir Bikram Shah Dev. This cave was discovered in the late 1950s by young shepherds of Pokhara.
