Annapurna Base Camp Trek begins with an overland drive to picturesque Pokhara famous and popular touristic place in the shade of massif Annapurna Himalaya. This is one of the famous regions of Nepal which is highly required by outbound and inbound tourists.

Annapurna Base Camp Trek leads to interesting Gurung tribe villages of Ghandruk and Chomrong and into the enchanting alpine. On this trek following Modi River right up to its glacier source into the Sanctuary and Annapurna base camp located beneath 10th highest Mt. Annapurna with its adjoining high peaks.

Outline Itinerary:

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu (1,400 m). Overnight at a Hotel.

Day 02: Drive to Pokhara (900 m) in a Tourist Bus – 7 hours. Overnight at a Hotel.

Day 03: Drive to Nayapul (1,010 m) and Trek to Tikhedunga (1,570 m) – 4 hours. Overnight at a Guesthouse.

Day 04: Trek to Ghorepani (2,840 m) – 5 hours. Overnight at a Guesthouse.

Day 05: Hike up to Poon Hill (3,210 m) and Trek to Tadapani (2,610 m) – 7 hours. Overnight at a Guesthouse.

Day 06: Trek to Chomrong (2,140 m) – 5 hours. Overnight at a Guesthouse.

Day 07: Trek to Himalaya Hotel (2,950 m) – 6 hours. Overnight at a Guesthouse.

Day 08: Trek to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130 m) – 7 hours. Overnight at a Guesthouse.

Day 09: Trek to Bamboo (2345 m) – 6 hours. Overnight at a Guesthouse.

Day 10: Trek to Jhinu (1,780 m) – 5 hours. Overnight at a Guesthouse.

Day 11: Trek to Nayapul (1,010 m), Drive to Pokhara – 5.5 hours and Guided Tour of Barahi Temple and Fewa Lake. Overnight at a Hotel.

Day 12: Drive Back to Kathmandu (1,400 m) in a Tourist Bus – 7 hours. Overnight at a Hotel.

Day 13: Transfer to the International Airport for Your Final Departure.

  • 1:How hard is the walk to Annapurna base camp?
  • Annapurna base camp trekking leads from moderate walk to adventurous especially in snow conditions, leading up and down hills on stone steps near villages, as altitude wise it is one of the most safest trek at ABC only above 4,095 meters high without the problem of AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness)
  • 2:What happens if sick during the trip?
  • One of the safest trekking despite high mountains, chance of altitude getting AMS is very slim starting with slow moderate walk, acclimatization every day before reaching Base Camp at 4,095meters. If some people get sick with other problem or diarrhea which is normal due to change of foods, air and environment, we do carry medical kit on every trek as our guide have enough medical experience, they will advice what is best and in case of serious illness and accidents, emergency evacuation is necessary by any means of transport including helicopter service to reach nearest hospital.
