My husband and I went to Amalfi to celebrate our anniversary and we spent multiple days exploring many Italian cities but we could not stop raving about this adventure!! The customer service was A++. From the moment we got to Pompeii our tour guide Elvira was spectacular. She was so knowledgeable about the ruins and knew all the places to take us to avoid the crowds and find the shade (little bit they had). She was from the area and said she grew up with her mother giving tours and followed in her footsteps. For anyone excited to learn about the city/ruins and interesting facts--I would highly recommend. We spent 2 hours and went from the entrance through the other side to the amphitheater. We could have easily spent longer, but the 2 hr. tour was just perfect for us!. I should also note that our driver Benny, was beyond accommodating. Since we really wanted to see the amphitheater (my husband love Pink Floyd) he changed the route to pick us up in order to accommodate us finishing in a different spot. He then picked us up in a van with lots of AC (which was great) and brought us to the Winery (AGAIN being so very accommodating to the way we wanted to do the tour)--because after walking for 2 hrs. around Pompeii we were very hungry and thirsty, so he arranged for us to do the winery before the horseback riding. We arrived at the top of the winery to a quaint little place with all the wine/preservatives and produce that they cultivate. The food was excellent!! and was multiple courses to match the wines you tasted! We bought a few bottles and some other items that we tasted! This place was a true hidden gem!! Staff was friends and the food and wine flowed!! We ended the tour with a horseback ride through the winery and property. Our horses were fun and friendly and Giuseppe (the owner/coordinator) was so friendly and made us feel like family!! Our driver took us back to the train station to get back to Sorrento where we were staying. This was a highlight of our trip!! The entire tour was perfect! We certainly recommend this tour for all or any parts you want to do!!!
