About this activity
The tour will start directly in Pompeii, with exact pick up in the garden of the Hotel Vittoria, a hotel located close to the main entrance of the Archaeological Site. A guide will be there with a sign with your name and will then escort you to the main entrance of the archaeological site.
Thanks to your Skip-the-line Tickets, you will then enter the archaeological site in Pompeii, where a professional guide will take you on a 2-hour group tour exploring one of the world's most engrossing archaeological experiences: a historical city covered by volcanic dust from Mt. Vesuvius in AD 79.
After the visit, you will be free to explore the area independently, have lunch, visit the various stores outside the site or simply leave and spend the rest of your day however you like.

Three years ago I went without a guide.....missed so many things getting lost. This is 170 acres of stone streets that look alike. Book through Viator, no waiting, breaks are built into tour, there is no waiting in huge lines, as an American, ALL my tours were booked at home before I left....

Thorough and very informative tour. The guide was knowledgeable about the subject matter and was very articulate. We toured maybe a third of the overall archeological site, but it felt like we covered a lot of material. This is definitely recommended over just walking the ruins on your own.
Easy to find meeting point guide turned up dead on time set off half an hour later, stressed it was a 2 hour tour and the time started once we were in, lasted around 2.25 hours was well worth paying that bit extra for the guided tour and skipping the line though line wasnt huge in early april, group slightly on the large side 25ish but no problem would recommend
