Furnas Private Tour up to 8 guests

Private tours start at 9am. We will pick you up at your hotel or holiday rental location. Heading out from the main city of Ponta Delgada we will first visit the islands old capital of Vila Franca do Campo. The beautiful hilltop chapel offers a beautiful view of the town. Next, we head to the lake of Furnas surrounded by a number of fumaroles. Some which are used for cooking the traditional cozido. This meal is offered at all of the local restaurants in the Valley. *Cozido meal is optional. The Thermal baths and visiting the Botanical Garden of Terra Nostra is also an option. While visiting the Caldeiras area in the town of Furnas we will try several natural spring waters rich in minerals and naturally carbonated. Next, we drive up high in the mountains to another breathtaking view known as the Peak of Iron. We continue north to visit the Tea Plantation of Sao Miguel and finally a beautiful coastal viewpoint which overlooks our rugged north coast. Pick up and drop off are always included.
