About this activity
A world of beauty and mystery awaits you, from the boilers, to the fumaroles or the "natural kitchen" where locals cook a stew in a hole on the ground, as well as several pools naturally heated by the volcano. It is impossible to remain indifferent to such diversity.
Lunch is included and will be the typical and unique "Cozido" (stew).
During the tour you will see: Santa Iria viewpoint, tea factory & plantations, Pico do Ferro viewpoint, Furnas Lake, hot springs, Furnas Village and thermal springs.
In Furnas volcano, you have the option to explore one of the most beautiful botanical gardens in Portugal, Terra Nostra Natural Park, an amazing garden and unique thermal pool with orange waters or the famous thermal pool Poça da Dona Beija. This is an optional stop and entrance fees are not included.

What a wonderful day! Highly recommended. Of course, the sights were wonderful but the experience with the guide makes a big difference. Flavio enthusiastically brought us to several wonderful sights. He explained the history, character, and ecology of each destination. He also let us explore on our own but stood ready to answer questions. Like many Azoreans, he is proud of his culture and was excited to share it.
Fabulous trip - guide was great - restaurant was fun. Glad we did this.
The guide did his best, unfortunately if the weather is bad, this tour is not such a good idea.
