The Azorean islands offer a diversity of stunning scenery on the Atlantic Ocean, embellished by the lively and vibrant gardens as well as the green pastures. The island of São Miguel is also known as the Green Island. This is because it has different shades of green displayed in its endless pastures.

We will explore the north side of the island. Starting in village de Rabo de Peixe is knows for fishing village located in Ribeira Grande region. The liqueur Factory is the next stop, with the production of home made liqueurs like passion fruit, pineapple, amora liqueurs and many others. The viewpoint of Santa Iria is an icon stop, because of the perfect landscape. Next to Santa Iria viewpoint, we will visit the tea factory /plantation Gorreana , where we will have opportunity to taste that traditional flavors of tea. Ribeira dos Caldeirões is the next stop, and after that, it´s time to take a few pictures of the viewpoints, that include the viewpoint Pesqueiro in Santana, the viewpoint Vigia das Baleias, viewpoint Despe-te que Suas, and finally the viewpoint Borda da lareira. After the fantastic viewpoints it’s time to lunch in Nordeste. Next to lunch we will stop at two more viewpoints -Ponta do Sossego and Ponta da Madrugada. And then the village of Povoação, stopping in the viewpoint Por do Sol. Of course, we will stop in Furnas a icon of São Miguel Island. The volcanic complex of Furnas with around 800 thousand years old. Known for its boilers, fumaroles and thermal waters that form pools of medicinal and thermal water. Vila Franca do Campo, Is the old capital where we will pass before stop at the city of Lagoa.
