São Miguel, Azores - Half day to Lagoa do Fogo

Fire lake, whose quiet beauty gives us a sense of peace, a nature reserve with the fire lake and its turquoise waters in the background. The old boiler, hot water cascade and its natural pool is one of the most popular places for its beauty and uniqueness. The mountain descent, is something indescribable.
Pick up at the Hotel and a wonderfull drive along the South Coast before starting the ascent to the Barrosa Peak where we saw for the first time the Fire Lake and most of the western part of the island of São Miguel, South coast and north, with the Seven Cities as a backdrop.
We begin our descent to the north coast, stopping at the Fire Lake Viewpoint for a glimpse of this magnificent turquoise waters Lake.
An optional leisurely stop at Caldeira Velha where we can enjoy the hot springs heated naturally by the heat of the volcano, the famous cascade of hot water and all tropical vegetation, which provides magnificent photos. 
A stop at Ribeira Grande City, where we visit the historical center and liquors Factory / store, to taste all the liquors that are produced there bedore returning back.
