9:20 am - Carvao viewpoint - you can see both the north and south sides of the island
9:30 am - Empadadas Lake, located around the volcano of Sete Cidades and is considered of unique natural beauty
10:00 am - Canario Lake; a small, beautiful lake surrounded by untouched vegetation
10:30 am - Vista do Rei viewpoint, one of the most famous viewpoints of Sete Cidades, overlooking the crater and south coast of the island
11:00 am - Salto das freiras viewpoint.
11:15 am - Santiago Lake a small vulcano crater which is located inside of the huge vulcano crater of Sete Cidades, a beautiful lake surrounded by untouched vegetation.
11:30 am - Sete Cidades Church (center of the village, time for a break or coffee, 30 minutes) located at the bottom of the crater of the vulcano. A peaceful village where time seems to stand still
12:00 pm - Escalvado (Mosteiros) viewpoint overlooks Mosteiros is a fishing village, famous for its great summer houses, beach, and natural pools made of lava formations. A great village to visit
12:30 pm - Ilha sabrina or Ferraria viewpoint

My best friend and I ended up on a private tour with Rodrigo this past week. We cannot say enough positive things about Rodrigo, his knowledge of the island, professionalism, and willingness to tailor the tour to what we wanted to see. We had done a full day West island two days prior, but due to the weather we weren't able to visit Sete Cidades. Rodrigo listened to what we did see, and changed up his routes and viewing areas to give us a new experience. I highly recommend this half day tour.
We booked this tour last minute before we got on a ship for a transatlantic trip to Italy. We had no communication with the tour company while on the ship (no wifi) and we had a set time to meet at the Port gate. No one showed up and we waited for over a hour before we went on are own. Could not reach anyone to talk to. Terrible experience. MJ.
We booked tour through Viator rather than cruise ship. We wanted a small tour group. We were paired with 3 others from our ship for a total of 5 not counting our guide. Leon was fantastic and took us to some extra stops to make up for the fog that restricted view from the top of the mountain. He then dropped us off in town as we requested and took the others back to the ship.
It was foggy with intermittent rain, but our guide did a good job given the conditions! There were an interesting group of fellow travelers and we had good conversation.
