The permanent pontoon moored at Agincourt Reef provides a sheltered base for a day on the Great Barrier Reef. Located on the very edge of Australia’s continental shelf, Agincourt is a magnificent ribbon reef teaming with a wide variety of fish life, both large and small, and a kaleidoscope of magnificent corals.
Departing from Port Douglas, the high-speed catamaran will take you directly to Agincourt Reef in 90 minutes. Or you can choose to travel by scenic helicopter and fly over the World Heritage-listed Daintree Rainforest and take in the views of the white sand cays and the magnificent colors as you fly over the Great Barrier Reef, arriving at Agincourt Reef in 35 minutes.
You'll have three hours to enjoy the reef at your leisure. Grab a snorkel and fins and hit the water on your own, or join an optional guided snorkeling tour with a qualified marine biologist. Snorkeling is a great way to explore the Great Barrier Reef, and there are friendly staff on hand to show you how.
Prefer to stay dry? You can explore the stunning reef from the comfort of a semi-submersible submarine. You'll take a leisurely cruise through colorful coral gardens, giving you a snorkeler's view of the marine life without getting wet.
A delicious hot and cold tropical buffet lunch is included, containing fresh prawns, pastas, meats, salads and fruit. There are full bar facilities available where you can purchase drinks.
You can choose to cruise back to Port Douglas by high-speed catamaran or by helicopter.

It was my parents first visit to Australia and the Helicopter Barrier reef tour was the Perfect combination. We enjoyed the boat trip out to the reef and was filled with great information relating to marine life and culture. The reef itself is just Magical . A great lunch is provided. Then do yourselves a favour Take the helicopter back. this can only be described as The icing on the cake to a wonderful day on our wondrous and beautiful reef. Congrats and thank you

This was my favorite part of my Australia vacation. It was a nice boat ride out to the reef when I did a guided snorkeling activity. The guide was great and really helped me overcome my nervousness!! It was absolutely beautiful. I took a helicopter ride back to get the most amazing views in this world. I highly recommend this tour.
