We had a fabulous day out. Dale picked us up from the hotel and was very friendly, telling us all about the area. He had loads of local knowledge and it was lovely to be part of a smaller group. The train journey was spectacular and the village of Karunda very pleasant to walk around. Dale told us of a cafe which served really good crepes there and we weren't disappointed. The sky rail was an amazing experience and we called in to a lovely place in Palm cove for a drink on the way back. To reiterate, we had a fabulous day and I would definitely recommend this trip.

This was a spectacular trip only marred by the weather. Our guide was Steve and he was very knowledgeable. The journey up into the rainforest on the train was great and the sights were superb. Once we arrived at Kuranda we had an opportunity to wander around all the craft places and to try the ice cream which was recommended by Steve. Our journey back was via the sky rail - which is a must. Again this was really spectacular but would have been even better if it had not been raining. We finished off our day by stopping off for a cocktail before Steve returned us to our hotel. All in all it was a superb trip and well worth the money

We did a lot of tours in Australia and I would rate this one as just okay. It's pretty neat to take the gondola up and over the rainforest and see all the trees and nature. Then, they let you off at stops and you do some nature walking, which is nice. The walk around Kuranda is pretty cool too and you can buy some real Aboriginal art. The train ride home is more boring and a lot slower than I thought it was going to be. Kind of a tourist trap, so I would have rather gone out to the reef for another day, but if you have the time to kill, nice tour.
