Mauritius Speedboat Cruise from Pointe Jerome

There’s a lot to see on the island of Mauritius. But, there’s a lot of fun to be had out at sea, too. This 7.5-hour speedboat tour includes an ample amount of time for activities, including the four important "S"s: snorkeling, swimming, sunbathing and seafood eating.

Meet the captain in the morning at Pointe Jerome and, after learning some safety instructions, hop aboard your boat. After a scenic 30-minute cruise, arrive at Blue Bay Marine Park for an hour of snorkeling. The marine park is home to a myriad of vivid-hued corals and a diverse amount of sea life.

Climb back on board your boat and continue your cruise past Ile de la Passe and Ile aux Flamands. Make a brief 20-minute stop on Ile au Phare, named for its abandoned lighthouse that was built in in the 1800s.

On Ile aux Cerfs, pull up to a private beach and sit down for lunch. Choose between barbecued chicken, fish, prawns or lobster, all paired with salad, and then follow your main course with flambéed banana for a sweet finish. Wash your lunch down with a choice of wine, rum, soda, juice or mineral water.

Afterward, spend some leisure time on the beach to sunbathe or swim. Then, visit the waterfall at Grand Riviere Sud Est before your return to Pointe Jerome.
