Mesmerizing mix of Nature, Culture and Mysticism along pristine Mauritius island

It is advisable to start as from 8 a.m but starting time may vary to suit the convenience of guests. Pick up is at the door step of the guests in an air conditioned car with driving and guiding. You drive towards the Black River National Park seeing the varied landscape and local life along the way. One hour later, you are in the park, where you breath a specially fresh air and see a soothing vegetation around you. 30 minutes later, you are the colored earth park. There, you have several options to discover the park: you may simply walk around, visit the place in a jeep or in a more adventurous way ... on Quad Bikes or Buggies.

The main attraction at the park remains the colored earth: a real marvel of Nature involving volcanoes, years of weathering with Sun, wind and rain water and the different levels of naturally found chemical elements in the soil. Watching the colored earths creates a special effect on every individual about the amazing capacities of Mother Nature.

Besides the colored earths, the park is a haven of sub tropical vegetation with Ebony trees and other endemic plants that tickle the eyes and the nose. Going through the vegetation, you are attracted by the melodious sound of flowing water which brings you to nice rivers and at other places culminates in waterfalls. Feel free to swim as the place is safe against predators - no dangerous animals.

Continue the visit in the park to see tortoises, deer and monkeys and consider challenging yourself to some adventurous activities like the Nepalese bridge and the zip lines.

Generally guests enjoys two to three hours at the colored park before being driven to another special experience at the sacred lake of Grand Bassin. After 30 minutes drive, you are welcome at the place by two amazing statues of the highest Hindu Gods: Mother Durga and Lord Shiva. The scene is set for mysticism.

As you go further towards the lake you visit temples decorated with attractive colors and figures where the universal values of Hinduism are adored in the divinities have each special legends to transform the mere humans that we are to much better individuals.

See in much humility the families offering their payers to God through special rituals mixed with appealing mantras in the midst of the ringing bells. Take unique pictures of the sacred lake with obvious evidence of it being a volcano crater.
