Lovely day, we had a really friendly driver who accommodated our wishes and fit as much as he could around our helicopter trip that we had booked on same day. He took us from balaclava down to the south for our tour fitting in the crater, and temple on the way down. And then he took us to 7 coloured earth, chamarel and the rum place on the way back. he stopped so we could take pictures of monkeys and to randomly pick us some fruit from a tree at the side of the road as we had not tried it before, he was very informative and made our day so special.
Amazing day with a great driver so full of knowledge. Definatly the best choice of doing the rum tasting last...thoroughly fantastic day
This tour is a very compact tour of southern Mauritius, you get to see tea plantation, the volcanic crater,7 colored earth, the biggest sacred lake in Mauritius and the Hindu temple, Chamarel forest, waterfall and village. As we had time, we stopped at the Illusion Museum which was close to Chamarel and took great photos! This tour is private for you in a brand new, air-conditioned car. The guide is really nice and shapes the tour exactly to your likings and things that you want to see. We had lunch at a local village restaurant and everything we tasted was amazing. This tour is definitely recommended.
