Our guide will pick you up at 9 am from your hotel. Our first stop will take us back in time with a visit at ‘Martello Tower’ located on the beach of La Preneuse. The ingenious fort was constructed by the British colony back in the 1830s. You will quickly discover that the island isn’t just home to white sugar beaches and rich flora and fauna, but also to some amazing treasures that have been carefully preserved.

Stop At: Chamarel Waterfall, Mauritius
Next, enjoy a scenic drive through the charming village of Chamarel and up in the hills of Black River Gorge while observing the picturesque views over the west coast. We will stop over at Chamarel viewpoints located on the hills, a perfect place to capture and Instagram the dominating views of the island.
You will love the unforgettable visit to the Chamarel Waterfall with its breathtaking location surrounded by lush landscape. It’s famed to be the highest fall in Mauritius!

Stop At: Chamarel’s Seven Coloured Earth Geopark, Chamarel, Mauritius
A short drive across the reserve brings us to the charming seven-colored earth of Chamarel. Witness the various colors of the soil, which was cooled at different temperatures millions of years ago, and where the rains have carved beautiful patterns into the hillside, creating an effect of earthen meringue.

Stop At: Rhumerie de Chamarel, Royal Rd, Chamarel, Mauritius
Our next visit will be at the Rhumerie of Chamarel to witness how the famous sugarcane rum of Mauritius is made. Chamarel Rhumerie grows their own sugarcane and visitors will have the privilege to taste some of the finest rum the factory has to offer.

Time to feast on Mauritian cuisine at Varangue Sur Monde Restaurant. Nestled on the edge of the hilltop of Chamarel, it’s a great place to seek in the panoramic views over the south coast of Mauritius while you feast on fresh seafood and vegetables delivered by local suppliers.

Stop At: Black River Gorges National Park, Mauritius
After relishing a homemade dessert, we will take a stroll at the Black River viewpoints, offering dominating views over the breathtaking gorge of the Island. We will also have a chance to meet some monkeys and spot the famous bird ‘Paille en Que’ that was lucky to find its home in the hidden lush rainforest of Paine Champagne.

Stop At: Alexandra Falls, Central Plateau, Black River Gorges, Union Park, Mauritius
Afterwards, we will take you to Alexandra Falls. The peaceful surrounding offers a feel of the island’s past as it’s sheltered with a rich and untouched rainforest with around 200 trees species, shrubs, plants and wildlife. Unwind with your loved ones as you listen to the falls from a distance comforted by melodious sounds.
