Unfortunately the trip did not live up to expectations the visit to Gris Gris was okay, but was nothing spectacular. The trip moved on to the Crocodile Nature Reserve and got much better although there was no feeding of the crocodiles. Where the trip really let me down was at the Saint Aubin Sugar Estate, on arrival the history of the vanilla making was in fact a 3 minute DVD followed by myself and the other party members being ushered into the shop and if I'm honest being made to feel as they we had to buy some of the vanilla. We were led through to be shown where the vanilla was grown and then made our way around to the rum tasting which we were all looking forward to however, we were then informed that neither the rum tasting or any purchase could take place as the local elections were on and it was against the law. It was obvious that the tour rep had not been made aware of this and although she tried her best, nothing could be done. A big let down for everyone. Lunch was okay, but then we were informed that we would have to wait for a separate party to finish their lunch before we could leave this was due to a change in the travel arrangements from two minibuses to one. This wasn't really good enough as we had to then wait approximately another hour before we could leave. Not really good enough for Viator.

Nature reserve with the giant turtles was great to visit. Saint Aubin sugar estate and rum tasting was not very interesting.
