Portland: Best of the City Bike Tour

You'll meet us at our inner SE Portland, Oregon location at the corner of SE Main Street and 9th Avenue, near the roasteries for Coava Coffee and Stumptown and only a few blocks from a half-dozen breweries, including the internationally-known Cascade Brewing Barrel House. Once you arrive, chat with us while we fit you for a bike and helmet.
You and your group will ride through some of the prettiest inner Eastside neighborhoods of the city, including the Ladd's Addition neighborhood, through hub-and-spoke streets lined with craftsman homes from the early 20th century, and past the city's oldest rose gardens. Ride over the newest city landmark, the Tilikum Bridge -- the only bridge of its size in the world that restricts traffic to transit, bicycles and pedestrians only.
You'll ride through the South Waterfront district, past the lower terminus for the aerial tram and through part of the Oregon Health Sciences University campus, where you and your guide might stop for doughnuts. Then you'll travel along the waterfront with some stops at waterfront art, including a secret (but not private!) beach.
Our tour will continue through Old Town and Chinatown, where we'll stop at the Chinese Garden. Don't just peek in the beautiful "leak" windows... we'll go inside and tour this fragrant meditative space, what's been called the most authentic Suzhou garden outside of China.
After this immersive experience, you'll be back on your bikes, riding through the Japanese Historical Plaza and along Oregon's famous Willamette River, the spine of the fertile river valley upon whose mouth Portland is centered. Ride over the Steel Bridge, another one-of-a-kind crossing, and along the east side of the river back to the inner SE. You'll be pointed in the direction of our favorite chocolate shop, Alma Chocolates, after the tour -- after 10 miles of riding, you deserve a treat!
