Peter, our guide, was brilliant. He presented information about the geography, history, flora and fauna of the Columbia river Gorge in an interesting way, and was also informative about Portland itself whilst on the minibus driving through the city towards the Gorge.

Such a beautiful reflection of God’s work! The falls are breathtaking, the trees are lush and vibrant, and the river is. This is truly nature at it’s best! Tour guide was conversant and knowledgeable. The hikes were fun. We were moved from the PM tour to the AM tour, and I am glad of the switch. Less crowd and traffic in the morning. I definitely recommend this tour!

Knowledgeable tour guide presented history, geography, and biology of the Columbia River Gorge in an engaging way. And, no, waterfalls are not all the same!!! Must see!!!

Wonderful experience. Pete, our guide, was fantastic in every way. Very personable, knowledgeable and passionate about the Oregon scenery. Since the waterfall areas are so crowded in the summer, you really need a guide to navigate the parking and traffic situations to be able to see the falls - and Pete was ideal for that. Highly recommend!

I was in Portland for a conference and had an extra day, but I did not have a car. This tour picked me up downtown, an area I could easily access by public transportation. The driver/guide was friendly, knew the area well, shared the history of the Gorge, and took our group to several of the waterfalls. It was a beautiful day and the Columbia River Gorge is gorgeous. After the tour, our guide was able to recommend several restaurants in the downtown area, and dropped people at their respective hotels. Even though the Portland was very busy it was the weekend before the solar eclipse, our guide had no difficulty making sure we saw the waterfalls.

My wife and I were planning to do a self-guided tour of the gorge, but changed our minds after reading the reviews of this tour. I am so glad we did! Having a knowledgeable driver who knew where to take us, knew the best route for dealing with the heavy traffic, and allowed us to not have to worry about finding a parking spot easily made the trip worthwhile. but even more valuable was the wealth of information we gained from Pete, who served as our driver and guide. We learned a lot about Portland and the surrounding area, including the geological makeup of the gorge area. Fascinating stuff! I highly recommend this tour due to its very personal touches.
