Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Director Park, 815 SW Park Ave, Portland, OR 97205-3084

Our central meeting location and pick up point! A beautiful, urban park in the middle of Downtown Portland.

Duration: 5 minutes

Pass By: Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area, Oregon

We will depart downtown Portland and head east along the Columbia River to Troutdale, known as the Gateway to the Gorge! We will join the beautiful Historic Columbia River Highway, the first planned scenic roadway in the United States.

Stop At: Vista House, 40700 E Historic Columbia River Hwy, Corbett, OR 97019-9725

Our first stop for the day: Crown Point Vista House. This famous overlook sits 733 feet above the Columbia River, atop the remains of a lava flow that swept through the Gorge around 14 to 17 million years ago! Here, we will find amazing 180-degree views of the Columbia River Gorge and explore the Vista House. An intricately designed observatory and museum, the Vista House is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Duration: 15 minutes

Stop At: Latourell Falls, Guy W. Talbot State Park., Corbett, OR

From the Vista House, we will drive deeper into the Columbia River National Scenic Area. Our first waterfall for the day will be the dramatic Latourell Falls which plunges 249 feet over a massive wall of columnar basalt. Depending on the season, a short ¼-mile trail hike will be led to get a closer view of the falls.

Duration: 20 minutes

Stop At: Multnomah Falls, 53000 E Historic Columbia River Hwy, Bridal Veil, OR 97010

The next waterfall we will visit will be the famed Multnomah Falls. Plummeting 620 feet in two major steps, Multnomah Falls is the highest waterfall in Oregon and second highest in the nation! Here, we can explore the Multnomah Falls Historic Lodge (a Cascadian style stone and timber lodge built in 1925) as well as the beautiful Multnomah Falls itself. The easily accessible viewing platform offers a full view of the Benson Bridge and cascading falls beyond it.

Duration: 25 minutes

Stop At: Port of Hood River, 720 E Port Marina Dr, Hood River, OR 97031-2345

We will make our way to Hood River, known as the Windsurfing Capitol of the World, where we will pause for an hour for everybody to disperse for free time. This gives us a chance to explore the town and get lunch.

Duration: 1 hour

Pass By: Mount Hood National Forest, 70220 Intersection of Hwy 26 and E Lolo Pass Road on south side of road, OR 97049-8701

Following lunch, we will set out heading south, through the picturesque Fruit Loop orchards and lavender farms. If time permits, we may even make a brief stop at one of the farm stands before beginning our scenic drive through Mount Hood National Forest!

Stop At: Timberline Road, Timberline Lodge, OR 97028

For our last stop of the day, we will wind our way through Mount Hood National Forest, climbing to roughly 6,000 feet in elevation, to Timberline Lodge. This National Historic Landmark sits proudly against Oregon’s highest peak- Mt. Hood! Attracting over 10,000 climbers each year, Mt. Hood is a mammoth to behold. We’ll have the opportunity to explore inside the lodge and enjoy the surrounding Cascade Mountain Range views from the lodge’s outdoor patios. If time allows, a short hike to the Pacific Crest Trail crossing just behind the lodge can be led by your guide.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Director Park, 815 SW Park Ave, Portland, OR 97205-3084

After a full day out on tour, we end back at Director Park, our drop off location in the heart of Downtown Portland.

Duration: 5 minutes

Zeke, our guide, is very knowledgeable, friendly and interested in ensuring that his guests have a terrific time. He has a lively and engaging personality, and talked about Portland, its history and the sites we were going to see in a way that was interesting and easy to understand. We had plenty of time for photos and walking around at each stop. The trip was well-planned and the bus was clean and comfortable. Great job, Zeke, and thanks to Wildwood Tours!

We did the all day tour. It was excellent!! Our tour guide, Deana, was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. She even assisted with taking photos if requested. I would take a tour with her again. The tour had a good pace of driving and stopping for photos, etc. Timing seemed just about right. We would highly recommend this tour. It was certainly one of the highlights of our two week trip in Oregon and Washington!!

Me and my friends had a great time. We had plenty of time to admire the waterfalls. Our guide was amazing. He told us so many facts about Oregon and its history. He also was great because most of the van was sleeping, but he was still engaging for the few that remained awake. He also had great recommendations for lunch and cool tips for photographs etc...

This tour was the best day we had in Portland. We were fortunate to have a very knowledgeable and passionate tour guide in Will. We were entertained by Will’s anecdotes about the history and geography of Portland while seeing the scenic sites on and off the road. It was a worthwhile and meaningful experience!

Trip was informative and an excellent intro to the area. Lots of beautiful scenic routes. Only thing I would add is perhaps to allot more time at the Timberline lodge in order to explore Mt. Hood a bit closer. Overall Highly recommended.

This was an enjoyable, relaxing way to spend the day. With a small vehicle it was easy to get in and around to have a close up view of the waterfalls, Vista Pointe and Mt. Hood. The tour guide, Aaron was very friendly and knows the history of the area very well. He did an excellent job and would recommend asking for him. A not to be missed trip when you visit the Portland area
