This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Forktown Food Tours, Portland, OR

Your food walking tour of downtown Portland begins and ends with your guide, stopping at some of the most popular restaurants and food carts in the neighborhood. Exact itineraries vary slightly each day, but you can expect an array of food and drinks enjoyed at locations that show you the wide range of Portland’s culinary scene, from upscale eateries to casual classics to sweet shops. You may try smoked fish paired with local cider, a Mexican dish that only uses ingredients from local farmers markets, handmade dumplings, the best falafel in town, single-origin chocolate, a glass of Oregon wine or a drinking chocolate.

In between stops, pass by local attractions and hear from your guide about the area’s history, perhaps how the Pearl District evolved from a warehouse quarter to one of the city’s trendiest neighborhoods or how Portland got its name. Your tour ends at a local dessert spot, a perfect way to end a delicious tour!

Ahna was a great tour guide. We went to a variety of places so experienced Portland at its best. Had more than enough to eat. Ahna also pointed out places of interest along the way. I would definitely recommend this tour.

This was a wonderful food tour in downtown Portland. Our guide Heidi was extremely knowledgeable and had a great, positive energy. The selection of shows was wide ranging so we got a sample of many different foods. Extra bonus was the wine, beer and special water with the tastings. All of the tastings were large and delicious. Would recommend this tour to anyone!

Starting at the Farmers market (it was a Saturday) our group of 8 walked through maybe 2.5 miles of downtown Portland with excellent commentary on the major sights and quirks of this city. Great advice on some top booths at the market, excellent lunch at Southwark Seafood (so good we went back for dinner), then a 1/2 sandwich from a food wagon in Courthouse square, on to a chocolate expresso and a fabulous ice cream place - all while leaning about city highlights from a very vivacious guide.

Fabulous tour. Tour leader, Heidi, was extremely knowledgeable and personable. She made sure that everyone's needs were met. Learned so much about the history of Portland and about the food scene. We walked to six locations and had sit-down dining experiences. All the food was fantastic. Can't imagine how this could have been better. Thank you Heidi!

Tour was fabulous. Arial was very knowledgeable, energetic and a true Portlander!. She knew her local history, foodie knowledge and selected some outstanding venues to visit on our tour. We enjoyed salad, cold Potatoe leek soup, chocolate drink and sampling of rich chocolate bars, Mexican flare, roasted pork and local beer and exquisite ice cream. Easy walk around town with an opportunity to get familiar with the local scene.

I had such a lovely time with our guide, Heidi, on the Downtown Portland Food Tour. We got to sample some of the best food I've EVER had, and experience Portland like a local! The tour is set up in a way that someone who has never been to Portland or someone who lives in Portland would enjoy this tour. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone. This would be a great activity to do with friends or family, or even alone since our group was really fun. Side note: be prepared to EAT! I left this tour stuffed :)
