Itinerary

This is a walking photo scavenger hunt exploring the weird and quirky side of Portland made famous in the TV show "Portlandia." The walking route is approximately 3 miles (4.8 kilometers) from beginning to end.

This experience will take place in historic NE Portland. It is full of "weird" Portland sights such as:
- beautiful art murals
- little free libraries
- urban farm animals (chickens, goats, pigs)
- tiny houses
- bicycles
- homemade protest signs
- front yard vegetable gardens
- uniquely painted homes
- garden art
- Portlanders doing interesting things
- funky bicycles
- cannabis plants (legally grown)
- etc.

We will end at a famous Portland landmark, "McMenamin's Kennedy School," which is an old school house that has been converted into a hotel. Inside you will find a treasure trove of Keep Portland Weird: classrooms converted to hotel rooms, the Principal's office turned into a bar, the teacher's lounge turned into a hot soaking tub, and multiple dining rooms serving craft beer & wine, soft drinks, and breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
