Douro Valley Wine Tour: Visit to Three Vineyards with Wine Tastings and Lunch

My husband and I went on this tour for my birthday and I have to say, it was one of the most amazing experiences. Our guide George was especially accommodating as my husband was sick and our guide really took care of him (while I just drank and had my own fun). We went to some great wineries, lunch was good, and the people in our group was pleasant. Thank you very much for the best experience!

My wife and I had a really fun, interesting and educational day out in the Douro Valley yesterday with Hugo from efun Tours. We had six other excellent companions from around the world, representing the UN. There was Marie and Maxim from Hamburg, Marcelle and France from Quebec and another Canadian and her Estonian friend whose names escape me; sorry. Hugo was a wealth of information about the region, the ports and wine and the places to visit. The lunch was at an amazing villa (?); very old and has been in the family for many generations. The building was awesome, the grounds terrific and the food great. Hugo has a degree in archeology and history, is a local Portian (?) and has worked in the wine industry. He was fun and entertaining. The ports and wines we sampled were very tasty and we learnt so much about port production and the various types of port. I have no hesitation in recommending Hugo and this tour with efun tours via Viator.

We’ve done quite a few wine tours and this was one of our favorite ever. Jorge was an excellent guide and even gave us extra recommendations for the rest of our travels in Portugal. We loved the small group atmosphere and ended up staying out late into the night with some of the other tour members. The variety of wineries and stops really showcased the best of the Douro Valley and I would absolutely recommend this tour. (To be honest, I didn’t like Port before this experience). Look no further for an awesome tour and book this one!

Really enjoyed this tour. We did 3 wineries. Started with a big production, then moved on to a medium production for tastings and lunch and then a small production. It gave us a great perspective on all facets. The views were spectacular and we were never rushed. Had lots of time at each winery. Fantastic experience!

I had such a wonderful experience with Steven on the Douro Valley Wine Tour! It was a day filled with ease, good company, wonderful wine and port, and sunshine. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants an extensive tour of the Douro Valley Wine area. Steven was very safe, informative, fun, and personable.

Expected this to be fun and beautiful and it WAS. Didn't expect it would be as great as it was though. The vinyards were great, so much fun, and the countryside was amazingly beautiful! A great lunch at one of the vinyards, a GREAT group and Steve was a great tour guide!

Steve was an excellent tour guide! He gave us lots of background information on multiple topics of interest and was really knowledgeable on the topics of the Douro Valley. This was our favorite excursion on our trip in Portugal and would recommend to any friend that this is the tour to go on.

This tour is amazing from start to finish!! Would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting an authentic and versatile overview of the Douro Valley region. Our guide, Steve, was really knowledgeable and friendly, making our day really great value. All of the wineries were fab each with fantastic views and port / wine. We learnt a lot, and you get a lot of tastings for your money, as well as a wonderful and plentiful lunch. Fab, fab, fab. Would go again tomorrow!
