About this activity

We find the uninhabitable Drave village between the mountains of S. Macário, Arada and Freita. The houses are built in slate and covered with shale tiles that give it odd peculiarities.

Portal do Inferno is located in the heart of the Gralheira Massif, at about 1000 meters altitude. It is located in the Upland of Arada and rises between two steep valleys.

Lost in the bottom of the hills, the village is located in the well-known parish of Covas do Rio. Do not be afraid of the first adventure because after descending to the depths, it is guaranteed, the visit is well worth it!

The Typical Adega da Aldeia da Pena, in the middle of the village, offers the best gastronomy of the region.
