Krkonoše NP Snowshoe Hiking Day Trip with a Certified Mountain Leader

Itinerary

Upon arrival you will be provided with the necessary equipment (snowshoes & trekking poles) free of charge, and instructed how to use them. Before the start of the hike itself, you take a cable car to higher elevation (from 900m to approx. 1,300m), leaving just 300m left to ascend to the highest peak in the Czech Republic, Mt. Snezka (1,603m a.s.l.). After that you descend along the ridge to a plateau, in the middle of which you will find the oldest and the biggest mountain lodge in the national park, which at the elevation of 1410m also hides the highest located brewery in Central Europe inside. This is your lunch place. After the lunch you only need to return back to the car via different route, mostly downhill while enjoying the quiet and peaceful winter landscape and breathing in the fresh mountain air. After the hike enjoy the worry-free return transport back to your hotel in Prague. Total hiking distance: 13 km (8 miles). * Please be aware that the itinerary is subject to change due to weather conditions. Cable car does not operate on windy days and some days during annual maintenance.
