There are four places you must see if you visit the Czech Republic. Choose from of the most significant attractions: Karltejn, Konopit, Karlovy Vary or Terezn. Karlovy Vary tour (8 hours) During this tour, you'll have the opportunity to visit the largest, most famous Czech Spa. The town was founded by Roman Emperor and Bohemian King Charles IV, in 1370. It is famous for 13 hot springs with a temperature of about 70C. This town offers amazing historical Neo-Rennaissance colonnades with mineral water spring you can taste, many souvenir and amazing glass and pottery shops from local production and great Czech restaurants. (Daily all year round) Karltejn castle tour (5 hours) This tour to this gothic castle leads through the picturesque Czech countryside. Karltejn Castle holds an absolutely exceptional position among Czech castles. It was established in 1348 by the Czech king and Roman emperor Charles IV as a place to store the royal treasures, collections of holy relics and the crown jewels. In the castle Chapel of the Holy Cross, you will contemplate the pictures of Master Theodoric, there is the largest portrait gallery of Czech rulers in the country, exhibited replica of the crown of the Holy Roman Emperors and St. Wenceslas crown. (Karlstejn Castle is open April-June and September except for Mondays, Jul and August daily, October - December 23 weekends). Konopit chateau tour (4 hours) Visit a chateau where one of the first electric lifts or plumbing were installed. The castle was initially constructed as a Gothic fortification during the 13th century and was transformed in a Baroque style. You can find there residential rooms of Franz Ferdinand, the Archduke of Austria, a large collection of antlers or the official factory museum of the JAWA brand, you can then admire unique exhibits to the most famous of Czech motorcycles. Also, chateaus park with romantic corners, ancient statues. (Konopiste is open daily except Mondays and October, November on Sat and Sun). Terezin Concentration Camp Memorial Tour (4 hours) This concentration camp and Jewish ghetto, the only institution of its kind in the country is located north of Prague. This former garrison town was built at the end of the 18th century by Emperor Joseph II, but during the World War II this large area was converted by Nazis to a place of suffering. See the Memorial and learn the history behind the walls of one of the largest camps in the Czech Republic. (Daily all year round)
