Take your time and walk along the boardwalk overlooking Narraganset Bay at the Audubon Society's Education Center; picnic in the gardens at Blithewold Mansion, Gardens & Arboretum built in the 1900s the Van Wickle family; chase chickens at Coggeshall Farm, Bristol's only living history museum based in the 1700s, lap up the luxury of 1800s living at Linden Place, cap it all off with a stroll through the sailing life at the Herreshoff museum. 

Blithewold Mansion, Gardens & Arboretum Built in 1895, this 45-room English-style estate sits on 33 acres of land and is the original home to the Van Wickle family. This property houses historic heirlooms, crafted stonework, and is surrounded by unique gardens and arboretum that overlook the Narragansett Bay.

Coggeshall Farm Museum Prepare to get your hands dirty exploring the lives of ordinary tenant farmers living on the edge in 1799. Meet rare-breed livestock, tend heirloom vegetables, and explore 48 acres of fields woods and salt marsh. Time doesn't stand still around here. Visit, and neither will you.

Linden Place is considered the "crown jewel" of Bristol, Rhode Island's historic waterfront district. We invite you to come and explore this magnificent estate, Bristol's 'Great House', where generations of seafaring DeWolfs, Colts, and Barrymores entertained presidents and politicos. 

The Audubon Society of Rhode Island’s Environmental Education Center is a destination of discovery for nature enthusiasts of all ages. Winding trails, guided programs, aquarium and natural history exhibits are available year-round
