Banana Plantation and San Felipe

Board your air-conditioned coach and enjoy a ride that will take you through a green landscape of farms and mountains, ride over the largest bridge in Central America with a magnificent view of Rio Dulce where you can stop and take pictures while admiring the pristine rain forest. At the banana plantation see and learn how the bananas are selected and prepared for export. Return to The San Felipe Fortress and hear the stories of the Pirates that robbed gold from the Spaniards and tour the fortress to see the quarters where the Spaniard soldiers use to live. Board a fiberglass boat on your way to Livingston and enjoy the must beautiful lazy river in Guatemala. Rio Dulce is a habitat for a large variety of birds and fish. We will pass by Bird Island to take pictures, the Lake of the Lilies, and the Hot Water Springs. Stop for lunch at a well-known restaurant to enjoy a local meal. Finish up the tour by continuing to the canyon of the river with its 300 foot high walls and lastly, stop at Livingston take a short tour of the village. Return to Ship.
