Everything went well until after lunch when we were first asked to shift to another guide with a smaller van, but then just after about 15 minutes we were transferred like goods to a third guide with a even smaller van WITHOUT air-con and the driver who also served as a guide but DID NOT SPEAK a single English word! This was totally a nightmare!
Despite no correspondence prior to pick up time in morning had to callViator and emergency no, night before plus a 20 minute late pickup in morning, the trip to the Brazil side of the Falls was worth every . The Dam add on too as we were only ones on that excursion with the group and they gave us our own Taxi driver to take care of us for this part. We didnt get back to accommodation until 6.30 pm but driver handled everything. Great value for money.
I was very disappointed! It is basically a drive-through of a 1 and 1/2 hours. Not enough stops...the stops they had was for 5 minutes. And then there is the stop at the Catamaran harbour!! What a complete and utter waste of time. The whole problem started with the useless Grey Line website that did not explain clearly enough what was going to happen. They also did not give other options. I only discovered at the dam that there are more detailed tours.
But don't be surprised by 2 hour wait at the border.
Awesome day in Brazil at iguazu Falls and itaipu powerplant. Perfect guide!
