Truffle Land

Our tour guide will pick you up in the morning with an air-conditioned van in front of your accommodation. After the pick up, you will enjoy a panoramic ride to your first destination – city of Pazin, where you will participate in a truffle hunt. The hunt itself is a slow walk through the forest with your hunter and his dog. You will learn about truffles and hopefully “catch” one that you will later take to the tavern so our friend and chef Sandro can prepare it for you. But before that you will head to the most famous truffle town in Istria, Motovun. It’s an amazing hilltop town overlooking the beautiful Mirna river valley. There you will take an easy walk through the towns’ streets and soak in the magical atmosphere of this amazing place. After Motovun you will head to the last stop of this tour, the town of Oprtalj. It’s a small, nearly abandoned town with an amazing location – you’ll se it for yourself when you arrive. There you will meet the chef Sandro who will prepare your meal and serve it to you on one of the most amazing tavern terraces we’ve ever seen. After the delicious lunch you will take a short walk through Oprtalj and see how a half-abandoned, but beautifull town, really looks like.
The last thing to do will be to take you back to where we picked you up, but it will be an amazing scenic ride throught the rolling hillside of Istria.
