INKA UYO

The "Inca Uyo" or temple of fertility, is an Inca ceremonial complex of rectangular shape that contains phallic monuments (penises), place where sacred rituals of payment to the Pachamama (Andean fertility) and sun worship are performed in addition to being used As an astronomical observatory.

CHURCH OF ASSUMPTION

Built with columns and arches, it is considered one of the best in the region highlighted by its Peruvian Renaissance architecture. Famous also for the celebration that takes place on August 15, it is a religious event where the beginning of the agricultural campaign is manifested, through various religious Andean symbolisms such as the "huajjcha" where quispiños are thrown (cooked dough of quinoa and lime). ) from the towers of the temple of the assumption.

MIRADOR DE CHUCUITO

CHURCH SANTO DOMINGO CHUCUITO

Next to the church we find also the cross of catechesis, carved in stone with images of the Virgin Mary, and the apostle San Juan, cross with which the indoctrination of the natives was initiated.

PISCICULTURA DE CHUCUITO (OPTIONAL)

Center dedicated to the production and commercialization of trout, we can observe the complete process of trout development, there are 03 types of trout, Arroyo, Morena and Arco Iris, the latter being the most numerous due to the good adaptation to the geographical environment.

Belonging to the National University of the Altiplano was created with the purpose of repopulating the species in Lake Titicaca as it was in the process of extinction due to indiscriminate fishing of the species.

MUSEUM OF THE TOTORA:

Located 7 km from the city of Puno, we can appreciate well-made works based on totora, built entirely of this material revives the artisan spirit of the town of Chimú.

Tour guide did not seem to be informed. I think he hadn't taken anyone on this particular tour in a few years. Trip was much shorter than expected.
