Itinerary
Day 1: Puno - Uros - Amantani
Pass By: Catedral de Puno, Puno, Puno Region
We will pick you up from the hotel at 7:00am for a quick drive to the boat pier in Puno. After a brief introduction of the tour guide and some Andean folkloric music, we will start sailing towards the iconic floating islands of Uros located approximately 30-minutes away from the main land Puno. The residents of the island will welcome you and give you an overview of their way of living on this island. They will demonstrate how the island is built using the totora reed and will offer you a short ride on the much photographed boat, nicknamed as the Mercedes Benz boat. We will then visit the main island of Uros where you could buy some snacks and optionally get your passport stamped. We will then continue with our boat ride to Amantani where you will be doing a home stay that night. Homestay in Amantani will undoubtedly an unforgettable experience. Upon arrival the residents of the island will receive you at the boat pier and will escort you to their respective homes where we you will be housed in a private room over looking the iconic lake. Once settled, you will be invited for lunch. The highlight of the day will be a hike up to the two iconic hills, Pachatata and Pachamama (Pre Incan Temple) from where you would see the sun setting over the world’s highest navigable lake, Lake Titicaca. Late in the evening at around 7:00 pm, dinner will be served at the family’s guest house and then you will have an option to dress like a local and join their celebration party, eventually at about 10:30 pm we go back the house to sleep.

Day 2: Amantani - Taquile - Puno
Pass By: Catedral de Puno, Puno, Puno Region
After an early breakfast, we will hop on to the boat for a one hour ride to our last stop, Taquile Island where we will stop for lunch and get to know the lifestyle of the people living here. The hike up to the plaza would reward you with jaw dropping views of the lake. We will then hike down to the boat pier to head back to the boat pier in Puno, the journey would be approximately two hours. Once in Puno, our representative will meet you and drop you back to your respective hotel.
