Stop At: Sillustani, Puno 00159 Peru
From your hotel in Puno your driver and tour guide will pick you up and depart to Sillustani. As we arrive to the archaeological complex we will take a short hike for around 30 minutes to see the different funeral towers that rise up to 12 meters and belongs to the Pre-Inca and Inca cultures. These towers are located on a small peninsula surrounded by the Umayo Lagoon where we can appreciate the amazing views of the landscape. At Sillustani we will visit the interesting archeological site. This site is a sacred pre-Incan burial ground that holds above-ground tombs constructed in the shape of tall towers made from giant stones. You will also have the opportunity to visit some local houses where you will learn about daily life in this part of the Andes. After the tour we will take you back to Puno.
