2-Day Uros, Amantani, Taquile from Puno with Homestay

Day 1:

07:45 a.m. Transfers to the port of hotels.

08:00 a.m. Departure to the floating islands of the Uros.

08:30 a.m. Arrival to the islands of the Uros where you will visit two floating islands, the guide will give information about the construction of these artificial islands for 20 minutes approx. and then they will have free time to buy crafts.

Walk in a handmade totora boat (optional).

Then continue the trip to the island of Amantani.

01:30 p.m. arriving approx. Families will be waiting for travelers, accommodation is in family homes. The people of Amantani have Quechua origins and are mainly small farmers. The houses are very simple and the services are basic. There is no drinking water, there is no electricity and, of course, there are no comfortable toilets or showers; the guide will take care of the distribution of the passengers, they will go to the family house (from 2 people per family to 5 per family); at

2:00 p.m .: Lunch at the home of the local family, after a short break at

3:00 p.m.: There will be a walk to the highest peak of the island and

6:00 p.m .: Dinner at the family home,

Note: after dinner, visitors can enjoy a show organized by the residents of Amantani, for this the heads of families can lend the typical Amantani dress and accompany the passengers to the local community where there will be concerts. music, drinks and a bonfire.

Day 2:

After breakfast in the family house at

08:00 a.m .: Departure from Amantani to Taquile, we will arrive in Taquile approximately at

09:00 a.m. You will arrive at the pier in the north and have a walk to the city, to the

10:30 a.m. Arrival in the main city of Taquile, and

12:00 p.m .: lunch (optional), later the guide will give free time to the visitors so that they can take pictures and / or attend the taquile artisans room where you can buy typical fabrics from Taquile Ista; to

1:00 pm. Return to Puno from the main pier (538 steps down) and to the
