Itinerary
After 60 minutes drive from Puntarenas or Caldera Pier you will arrive to Tarcoles River where the tour departs. In here, meet your English-speaking cowboy. He will welcome you and will consider your experience and needs before pairing you with the perfect horse. After receiving brief instructions, embark on your 2-hour riding adventure using western saddle. We run a truly authentic, ethical and non-touristy opportunity to see the real Costa Rica on horseback! With our incredible rides, rest assured you are in safe and professional hands. The tour will take you to the Mangrove, the Rainforest, the Beach and the River, where many huge crocodiles, scarlet macaws, howler monkeys, aquatic birds and more wildlife species are easy to see.
After the horseback riding tour, a one -hour boat tour along Tarcoles River will give you the opportunity to see huge crocodiles from a very short distance. The Tarcoles River is home to one of the world’s largest crocodile populations in the wild and they are very easy to admire during our tour.
